Work continues in Uganda to enhance the sustainability of our efforts and work towards independence for the now registered NGO, ‘Esuubi Uganda’. The Esuubi Café is beginning to bring in increasing numbers of visitors, both local and tourists. The staff are doing an excellent job at providing quality service and delicious food. Our customers have been heard to say that not only do we “serve the best cakes in Uganda” but we also have the “best toilets” too! Our focus over the coming six months is to develop further our small scale agricultural projects. We currently have around 12 acres of eucalyptus trees which we will begin to harvest in the coming years. This year we aim to purchase five cows, and to plant four acres of crops. This will include vegetables and fruits for the children, to improve the quality of their diet. It also includes planing an acre of ginger in order to provide a sustainable income to support the children at Ekiwmulo Village.
